Maidenhead offers lots of things to do for film fanatics there is a newly furbished multiplex cinema (Odeon Luxe) a 10 minute walk away but If it’s a bit of culture you would like Norden Farm Centre in the Altwood area is where plays, films, art and cultural events take place and where high profile celebrities go for a pre-season warm up. Maidenhead also has a theatre in the historical Town Hall building. Maidenhead is not short of open green spaces, Oaken Grove with it’s water fountain features, Ockwells Park and an abundance of natural beauty spots – picturesque Braywick Nature Reserve, Cliveden and The Thickett at Pinkeys Green to name a few.
If sport is your thing there is the Braywick Sports and Recreation Ground which has rugby, cricket and football pitches plus an outdoor gym. A state of the art Leisure Centre, minutes away from Bellworthy Close, is planned to open next year to replace the current town centre Magnet centre. The river plays a big part in life in and around Maidenhead from dining by the river at the Riverside Brasserie at Boulters Lock to feeding the ducks and watching rowing events and regattas run by Maidenhead Rowing Centre. A beautiful setting in the summer months.
